Subject: set locale/language as part of the Domino web URL
Feedback Type: Suggestion
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: ALL
Release: Beta 2
Reproducible: Not applicable

One of the optional parameters to a Domino URL is charset (as in &charset=JIS-2). But there is no equivalent to explicitly ask for the language to be used for forms/view etc. The3 accept-language header is used to choose between forms or view with the same name, which is good for some uses. But in many of my cases, I need to allow the user to look at pages in another language without forcing them to change the browser language settings.

It would be nice if any Notes URL could have a &lang=FR or &lang=EN-ca parameter to tell the Domino web server to override the accept language setting in choosing the language of a page to return.
